September and October 2017 Newsletter

It is that time of a year again when students are having a hectic time yet a wonderful period. That’s Exam time! We wish our girls Good Luck for their Exams.

During the month of September, we had visitors from USA: Sr Barbara and Melinda (Mission Partner). They had couple visits to our home during their stay in South Africa. The Board members, Staff and our girls gave them a warm welcome. Our Annual General Meeting went well and it was well attended by the usual crowd and a number of new friends of Fatima House.

…. Annual General Meeting – 2017…

Life is the greatest gift that God has given us. Death is only bridge towards eternal life with God. Our deepest sympathy to the family of Anthony O’Donnell who was our board member, benefactor and a great friend of Fatima House. Tony worked extra miles for our home for many years. He will always be remembered for his great sense of humour, friendliness, commitment and hard work. We also lost another friend and benefactor, Pat Dickson who had been a benefactor of Fatima House for many years. May they rest in peace.

We were blessed by a gift of new born baby who was welcomed by family. We wish the family all the best. “our loving care follows persons and support them to be faithful to their truest selves” (St Mary Euphrasia – Foundress of Good Shepherd Sisters.)

  ‘Welcome, spring baby’

During the month of October, we experienced the ‘goodbye, and welcome’. Sr Ann who has been at our home during the course of the year left us and went back to her home country, Ireland. We appreciate all that she did during her time at Fatima House. We welcome Sr Juliet.

“Gratitude is the memory of the heart” – (St M Euphrasia) We would like to say thank you for all our friends, benefactors, board members for the work and support. May our Shepherd Lord bless you in a special way.
